Contemplating the New Year

Looking away in the distance seems to be a recurring theme in my work.  In 2003,  I made another piece:  Joyful Meditation  (22″ x 18″), picturing people watching fireworks on July 14 (Bastille Day) over my hometown: Toulouse (France).

    Two beautiful pieces, Benedicte. I am moved by The Voice Within, relating figures, so sharp and insistent, with the meditative and the wide. I am fascinated by the border and how the figures impinge on it. Thanks for posting!
